Aerial Promenade

This piece is called "Aerial Promenade", a scene unfolds with four large city ships are being escorted by several squadrons of fighter craft. This is my effort to form a harmonious balance of man and nature, both of whom share each others' existence.

This piece is sort of a spiritual successor to a series of sketches I did months ago about an air-faring civilization that sailed the skies in thier large insect-like aircraft. The background plate I used was a stock photo that I modified for use here and the ships themselves were 'modeled' individually in a seperate file and brought in. If at all possible I would like some advice on compositing techniques and color matching, or about my ship designs. Any other comments are also welcome. Thanks for checking this out!

I didn't focus on any certain or specific aspect of the architecture or how the machine worked. I primarily wanted to bring out the beauty in contrast to it's function as a large fusion reactor.

This is a large city-weapon that I created as an exercise in light interaction and clean metallic shapes. A great deal of the architecture was based on the biology of crusteceans, crabs in particular. It was fun to work on the dynamic lighting that I did for this piece.

This is a continued project from the Kimura bike. This vehicle is inspired by the Koenigsegg CCR, in the style of how it opens up to reveal the engine parts and components. I spent about a month on just the chassis and engine and the background was done in a day. A lot of this machine was designed using the pen tool, Burn, and Dodge =P. With this project, I set out to design and envision a super powerful vehicle that was also very environmentally friendly and fuel efficient. It's powered by a more developed and compact form of hydrogen cells The engine and exhaust systems are designed to convert 90% of waste heat back into energy.

Some stats for the bike are:

Acceleration:
0-60mph in 2.2 seconds

Top Speed:
312 mph

Engine:
8.7L V12
1,230 bhp (901 kW) @ 6,900 rpm
920 N·m (678 ft·lbf) @ 5,700 rpm.

Wheelbase:
114.7"

Length:
185"

Width:
50.3"

Height:
52.1"

Curb weight:
1,000 lb

Fuel economy:
300 mpc (Miles per Cell)

Fuel capacity:
5 Cells (1,500 gallon equivalent)

Critiques on vehicle design and overall concept are more than welcome, any comments or critiques about lighting would be helpful. Thanks for checking out my latest project!
